Step One - Safety: ReNew can determine if the property is safe to enter. Please do not enter
your home or commercial building until it has been evaluated for structural damage. Do not
enter any deep or standing water. Electrical panel will be turned off until it is deemed safe. In
some cases we will turn off the water supply, do not use piped water until you are sure it is
safe. Use bottled water or boiled water for washing, drinking, and cooking. In some cases we
will turn off the gas supply until it is deemed safe.
Step Two - Water Extraction: After the water hazard is eliminated. We will safely remove any
standing water. Do not try to use vacuum's to remove the standing water, or use any electrical
devices to extract the water, these items pose an electrical hazard when there is standing
Step Three - Secure Your Property: ReNew Will take steps to protect and secure your
property and personal belongings from further damage. For partially damaged properties we
can lock and secure your property to prevent looting and vandalism.
Step Four - Dry-Out: For partially damaged properties it is important to act quickly, mold and
mildew can form in a matter of hours. We will ventilate the property and install commercial air
movers and dehumidifiers. Our technician will determine the best methods to dry out the
affected areas. There are many procedures to accomplish this, the technician will discuss
them with you, their effectiveness and their costs so that you can make an informed decision
before we do any alterations.
Step Five - Repairs: There are a lot of companies out there who only do water remediation
and leave you hanging when it comes to making the repairs. At Re'New Home Center we will
be with you from start to finish. A written proposal will be given with a detailed description of
the work to be completed. We can work with you and your insurance company to resolve the
matter. In most cases the repairs can be made without any additional expense to the
homeowner other than their deductable.
